The best club management software for UK clubs in 2026

Most independent clubs need four things from their software: memberships on Direct Debit, class and event booking, an app members actually use, and fees they can see. Here’s how the main platforms compare, and which suits whom.

What matters

What to look for in club software

UK Direct Debit for memberships

Monthly memberships suit Direct Debit: there’s no card to expire, and it usually costs less per payment than a card. Check whether it’s built in or needs a separate provider bolted on.

An app members actually open

A native app with the timetable, bookings, chat and club news keeps members close to the club between sessions. Some platforms give members a web portal or a booking page instead, which is fine for booking and quieter for everything else.

Fees you can see

Check three things: the monthly price, any platform or booking fee on each payment, and whether that fee lands on you or on your members. Per-member pricing and long contracts are worth spotting early too.

Safeguarding, if you teach children

Look for staff DBS and first-aid records, photo consent and a welfare register of medical notes and emergency contacts, not just a waiver on sign-up.

Help moving across

Ask who moves your members, memberships and payments, what it costs and how long it takes, and how you’d get your data out again if you ever left.

Fewer tools, not one more

Count what you run today: a booking system, a payment link, a group chat, a spreadsheet. The right platform replaces most of them instead of becoming another login.

In detail

Each platform in more detail

Dyno

Dyno is club management software for gyms, martial arts schools, dance studios and sports clubs, made in Manchester. Memberships and UK Direct Debit, class booking, term courses, ticketed events, safeguarding records and a native member app with feed and chat sit in one platform, with 0% platform fee on every plan.

Best for: Independent clubs that want memberships, Direct Debit, bookings, events and a member app in one place.

About Dyno and the key facts

Where Dyno isn’t the right pick

  • If all you need is free team scheduling and group chat, Spond is hard to beat, and Dyno has no free plan.
  • If turnstiles or door control are essential, bear in mind that Dyno checks members in at a kiosk (a tablet at the desk) rather than controlling door hardware.
  • If you want an app under your own club’s name in the app stores, that’s on Dyno’s Enterprise plan. On the standard plans, members use the Dyno app with your club’s own space inside it.
  • Dyno is newer than every other platform here, so it has a shorter track record.
G

Glofox

Glofox is gym management software built mainly for boutique fitness studios and gyms, with class booking, memberships, payments and a branded app. Outside boutique fitness it gets narrow fast: one-off events, in-app community and non-fitness activities are not what it is built for, and pricing only comes through a sales call.

Best for: Studios that only need boutique-fitness workflows.

M

Mindbody

Mindbody is a large fitness & wellness platform aimed at studios, gyms and franchises. It is widely regarded as expensive and add-on heavy, its contracts and sales-led onboarding suit chains rather than independents, and it is geared around fitness and wellness rather than the full range of clubs.

Best for: Multi-site chains with the budget for an enterprise contract and its add-ons.

T

TeamUp

TeamUp is class-management software for gyms, martial arts and fitness businesses, covering scheduling, memberships and payments. Its member side is built for booking rather than community, so members open it to book a class and close it again, and the conversation that keeps them coming back ends up on WhatsApp.

Best for: Businesses that only need a booking system and are happy for their community to live on WhatsApp.

C

ClubRight

ClubRight is UK club and gym management software covering memberships, Direct Debit, bookings and access. It is built for the back office: members get an app for access and bookings, with little in the way of community, events or anything that keeps them engaged.

Best for: Clubs that only need membership records and Direct Debit collection.

S

Spond

Spond is a free communication and scheduling app widely used by grassroots sports teams, with group messaging, availability polls and event organising, and membership payments through Spond Club. It is built around organising a team, not running a club as a business: it is not a class-booking or ticketing engine, and the free app is funded by fees on payments.

Best for: Coaches and volunteers organising a single team who only need scheduling and chat.

P

Pitchero

Pitchero is club software for grassroots sports clubs, built around a club website with fixtures, results, league tables and news. Its Club app handles availability, team selection, messaging and match fees, and the paid packages add payments by card or Direct Debit. It belongs to the same group as Teamer, which closed and sent its users to Pitchero.

Best for: Clubs that put the public website first and the members’ app second.

C

Class For Kids

Class For Kids is UK booking software for children’s activity providers such as dance schools, gymnastics clubs, swim schools and football coaching. It handles term and block bookings, registers and payments, and it is funded by a booking fee added to each transaction that is commonly passed on to parents at checkout. It is built for booking rather than ongoing memberships, a parent community or progression.

Best for: Providers who mainly need term-based class booking and registers.

C

Class Manager

Class Manager is UK class-management software for dance, gymnastics, swimming and cheer schools, covering registers, class scheduling, waiting lists and Direct Debit billing through a parent portal. It handles the admin, but families get a web portal rather than an app, so notices, show tickets and photos end up in Facebook groups and on separate sites.

Best for: Schools that only need registers and term billing, with parents on a web portal.

G

Gymcatch

Gymcatch is booking and scheduling software used by independent fitness instructors and small studios, handling class booking, payments and simple memberships from a mobile-friendly flow. It is built around booking sessions, so once you need proper memberships, events, community or progression, the work moves into spreadsheets and other apps.

Best for: Solo instructors who only need people to reserve and pay for a session.

W

Wodify

Wodify is gym-management software built for CrossFit boxes and functional fitness, with class booking, memberships, payments and workout and performance tracking. It is built tightly around the CrossFit box, so it is fitness-specific, sales-led on pricing, and heavier than many independent gyms and non-CrossFit clubs need.

Best for: Boxes that only need CrossFit-specific workflows.

FAQ

Common questions

What is the best club management software in the UK?

It depends on the club. For an independent club that wants memberships, Direct Debit, bookings, events and a member app in one place, we’d say Dyno, though we make it, so we would. Boutique studios that only need class booking often pick Glofox, larger wellness chains Mindbody, and volunteer-run teams that mainly need free scheduling and chat Spond.

Is there free club management software?

Spond is free to use, funded by optional payment fees, and suits volunteer-run teams. Dyno isn’t free: plans start at £39 a month, and every new club gets 30 days of Pro first, with no card needed.

Which club software takes UK Direct Debit?

Of the platforms in this guide, Dyno, Glofox, ClubRight, Pitchero and Class Manager all collect Direct Debit. Dyno runs it through Stripe alongside card payments, at 1% + 20p capped at £4 per payment.

How much does club management software cost?

Fewer platforms publish their prices than you’d think: Glofox and Wodify quote on enquiry. Dyno publishes its Starter, Growth and Pro prices, £39, £99 and £249 a month in the UK, with 0% platform fee. Some platforms are funded by a fee on each payment instead, which is often passed on to members or parents, so compare what a year costs your club and your members.

How long does it take to switch?

With Dyno, migration help is free and members can use the app while your old system keeps collecting. Whichever platform you choose, ask who moves your members, memberships and payments, what it costs and how long it takes.

Has Teamer closed?

Yes. Teamer closed on Monday 5 October 2026, and its team pages, accounts and data are no longer available. Our Teamer page covers how clubs are moving on.
