The Wodify alternative for boxes that want performance and community without the enterprise stack.
Dyno gives boxes the same class-and-membership core plus performance results and personal-best tracking, and it works for any club, not only CrossFit, with a community feed, chat and ticketed events in a native member app at independent-club pricing.
Wodify is gym-management software built for CrossFit boxes and functional fitness, with class booking, memberships, payments and workout and performance tracking. It is deep in the box workflow, but it is fitness-specific, sales-led on pricing, and heavier than many independent gyms and non-CrossFit clubs actually need.
Wodify details are based on publicly available information and last reviewed July 2026; they may have changed, check Wodify’s website for their current features and pricing.
Wodify is genuinely strong at the CrossFit-specific parts: programming the workout of the day, logging results and running benchmark leaderboards are all first-class, and for a box that lives and breathes that loop it is a natural fit. The friction shows up around it. Pricing is sales-led and scales in a way independent boxes feel, the platform assumes you are a fitness business first, and anything outside the box workflow tends to be an add-on or an afterthought.
There is also the question of what happens as a box broadens out. Many add kids’ classes, run seminars and socials, bring in a strength-and-conditioning or martial arts strand, or simply want a community space that is not another Facebook group. A tool built tightly around CrossFit programming can start to feel like a jacket that no longer fits.
The core a box needs is all present: class booking with waitlists and cancellation rules, recurring memberships by card or Direct Debit through Stripe into your own account, kiosk check-in and attendance, and, on the performance add-on, disciplines, results and personal-best tracking with leaderboards so the competitive edge stays intact.
What Dyno adds is breadth without an enterprise contract. The member app carries a community feed and chat so the box culture lives in one place, ticketed events cover competitions, seminars and socials with member pricing, family accounts handle parents paying for kids’ classes, and because Dyno is not CrossFit-only, a box that grows into other disciplines is not fighting its software. Pricing is published and there is a free tier to start on.
Our team moves your members, memberships and key records across, and most boxes run a short overlap rather than a hard cut-over so nothing is missed mid-cycle. Recurring payments are the one part that needs care: when you change platform, members’ card and Direct Debit authorisations have to be re-established with the new payment provider. Dyno collects these through Stripe as members activate their account in the app, and the dashboard shows you exactly who has moved across and who still needs a nudge, so nothing falls through the cracks mid-switch.
