What is Dyno?

Dyno is club software built around the member app: memberships and subs by card or Direct Debit, training and class booking, events, a feed and chat, and match day through the Matchday bolt-on, from availability to the published side and the result. A club website on Growth and Pro is built from the same details, fixtures and results included.

What is Pitchero?

Pitchero is club software for grassroots sports clubs, built around a club website with fixtures, results, league tables and news. Its Club app handles availability, team selection, messaging and match fees, and the paid packages add payments by card or Direct Debit. It belongs to the same group as Teamer, which closed and sent its users to Pitchero.

The problem

Why clubs compare Pitchero with Dyno

  • Teamer sends its teams there
Teamer closed on 5 October and points its users to Pitchero, so plenty of clubs are weighing it up for the first time.
  • Website first
Pitchero is built around the club website. Clubs whose players and parents live in an app rather than on a website want the app to lead.
  • Paying needs a paid package
The free package has no payment processing, so taking subs or match fees means moving to Standard or Pro.
  • Match fees by card
Direct Debit through GoCardless covers recurring payments, not match fees, so those go by card or wallet through Stripe.

The Dyno way

How Dyno approaches the same job

  • The app leads
Bookings, payments, chat and match day sit in the member app players and parents open every week, and the website is built from the same details.
  • Match day, start to finish
Availability asked and chased, the side picked from the yeses and published, then the score, a match report and who actually played.
  • Training and juniors too
Training nights and classes with booking and check-in, family accounts for parents of several children, and coaches’ safeguarding records.
  • No platform fee
Dyno takes no cut of what the club collects on any plan, only the published processing rate on each payment.

Making the switch

What switching from Pitchero involves

  • Squads from a spreadsheet
Put your members into a spreadsheet, one row each, then import it into Dyno or invite players by email. Parents add their own children.
  • The season, added once
Add fixtures by hand, from a CSV file, or from your league’s iCal feed where it has one, and every team’s calendar fills in.
  • Keep your domain
Point the domain you own at your Dyno club website, or start on a free Dyno address while you decide.
  • Payments move with care
Card authorisations re-establish through Stripe as members activate in the app. UK Direct Debits held with GoCardless move across in a Bacs bulk change with nothing for members to sign, and other providers’ mandates are set up again in the app. The dashboard shows who has moved across and who still needs a nudge.

FAQ

Switching from Pitchero: common questions

Is Pitchero the same company as Teamer?
Yes. Both belong to the Pitchero Group, which closed Teamer to focus on Pitchero and PitcheroGPS. Teamer’s own pages point its users to Pitchero and offer Teamer organisers any Pitchero package free for six months, after which the normal price applies, with no contract.
What’s the main difference between Pitchero and Dyno?
Where each one starts. Pitchero is built around the club website, with an app for the teams. Dyno is built around the member app, where players and parents book training, pay subs and match fees, chat and answer for match day. The club website on Growth and Pro is then built from those same details.
Can Dyno replace our Pitchero website?
Yes, on Growth and Pro. The site is built from what’s already in Dyno, your timetable, memberships and events, with fixtures, results and line-ups appearing as you record them. You can point a domain you own at it or use a free Dyno address, and there’s no separate site to keep up to date.
Pitchero has a free package. Does Dyno?
No. Pitchero’s free package covers one team, with ads and without payment processing, and its paid packages add teams and payments. Dyno has no free plan: every new club starts with 30 days of Pro, with every feature and no card needed, then picks a monthly plan.
How do payments compare?
Both use Stripe for cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Pitchero adds Direct Debit through GoCardless for recurring payments, though not for match fees, and takes a transaction fee from what’s collected. Dyno takes subs by card or Direct Debit into the club’s own Stripe account, with no platform fee, only the published processing rate.
We’re coming from Teamer. Should we try Pitchero or Dyno?
Pitchero’s six free months end at the normal price, and its free package has no payment processing, so subs and match fees mean a paid package with a transaction fee on what you collect. Dyno puts training, juniors, subs and match day in the one app members open, takes no platform fee, and every new club gets 30 days of Pro free with no card.
