The Glofox alternative for clubs that want more than just a gym tool.
Dyno covers the same fitness essentials (memberships, classes, bookings and payments) and goes further, with events and ticketing, a community feed and chat, and support for every kind of club, not just boutique fitness.
Glofox is gym management software built mainly for boutique fitness studios and gyms, with class booking, memberships, payments and a branded app. It is solidly built for fitness, but narrower if your club runs events, community or non-fitness activities.
Glofox details are based on publicly available information and last reviewed July 2026; they may have changed, check Glofox’s website for their current features and pricing.
Glofox does boutique fitness well: class booking, memberships and a branded app are its bread and butter. The friction tends to appear at the edges of that model. If your club runs one-off events with paid tickets, gradings, socials or competitions, if your community lives in a WhatsApp group because the app has nowhere for it, or if what you run is not really a "fitness studio" at all, you end up working around the tool rather than with it.
Pricing is the other recurring theme: Glofox is sales-led with pricing on enquiry, so you cannot see what you would pay without booking a call, and the platform now sits inside a larger enterprise fitness group. None of that makes it a bad product; it does make it a different shape of company to deal with than a tool you can try for free this afternoon.
Dyno gives you the same class-and-membership core: recurring billing by card or Direct Debit through Stripe, timetables with waitlists, booking rules and cancellation deadlines, and kiosk check-in at the door. Then it adds the parts boutique-fitness software usually leaves out: proper events with ticket tiers and member pricing, a community feed and club chat inside the member app, belt and grade progression tracking for martial arts, and family accounts so parents can manage children’s memberships.
One honest difference to weigh: Glofox offers custom-branded member apps, while Dyno members use the Dyno app with your club’s own space inside it. The trade-off is deliberate. Your members get one well-maintained app that is always up to date, your club gets its feed, chat, timetable and events inside it, and you are not paying enterprise prices for an app shell with your logo on the icon.
Our team moves your members, membership plans and records across, and most clubs keep the old system running for a short overlap while members activate. Recurring payments are the one part that needs care: when you change platform, members’ card and Direct Debit authorisations have to be re-established with the new payment provider. Dyno collects these through Stripe as members activate their account in the app, and the dashboard shows you exactly who has moved across and who still needs a nudge, so nothing falls through the cracks mid-switch.
